Dear Mr. Cook,
I am writing to you over the disappearance of my “brother” Mr. Michael Williams, and five other men who also disappeared on a Piper Lance aircraft 9H-ABU, in mysterious circumstances on the 3rd December 1995 on a flight fiom Djerba, Tunisia, to Malta.
Over the past five years the search for the truth, by ourselves, and in particular Mr.Cormac Boomer of Belfast, Northern Ireland, whose son Desmond was also a passenger on this flight, and the Aquilina family in Malta. Most of our enquiries into this matter have been clouded with controversy and in some cases utter disbelief.
Mr. Boomer and myself have been in close contact over this period of time, and in particular he has kept me informed over the Board of Enquiry sittings, that he attended, all at his own expense, that took place in Malta. Affidavits summited by myself to the board, as far as I am concerned, have been classed as hearsay, and put to one side. I feel that the Board of Enquiry who handled the investigation into the disappearance of this aircraft have tried to cover up most of the truth and I also believe if you would look into this matter you will also realize that there are a great number of questions that remain unanswered.
With the Government of Malta having applied to join the European Community, I would like to request that the Governments of both the Boomer and Williams families call to account the Government of Malta over the handling of the investigation into the disappearance of these two European Citizens.
Yours sincerely,
Geoffrey Howard Williams.
