Subject: Outbound Flight Details.
Cormac
Your help would be greatly appreciated regarding the details of the outbound flight.
You may already have done this, so perhaps you could fax it to me. However what l need is the following:
- What time did Bartolo outbound flight leave Malta on the evening of 2 December 1995?
- Who were his passengers?
- What mechanical problems did they experience with some details of the concerns expressed by passengers.
- You mentioned that when relieved passengers were disembarking, one or two noticed a torn and worn belt. Can you give us details of what was seen and what was said. Didn't you say it was brought to Bartolos attention and he apparently pulled the belt and walked with it into the terminal building?
- Who saw Desmond and the other passengers and what words were exchanged? What do we know of the last movements and communications of Desmond and the other passengers? Did Desmond phone home for example? If so, when and what did he say?
- What was the opinion of the Piper Lance expert concerning the reported mechanical difficulties, particularly whether the plane could have been flown after its arrival in Djerba
It would also be helpful if you could give us details on when the alarm was raised, by whom and how the Maltese authorities responded. If you could set this out in a logical time sequence it would be very helpful
If possible Cormac it would be very helpful if we could have this at your earliest convenience.
Thanks for all your help, Garrett and I are both anxious to proceed with this proposal immediately in the hope that we might get a commitment from an Irish and British station to go ahead.
Talk to you later,
Don.
