The Weapon was loaded in Bugibba

by Felix Agius and Joe Mifsud

One of the Shqaqi Killers was often in Malta. Early on the moming of the crime a person saw the two killers hide a parcel in a box which was mounted on the motorcycle. At the time, Shqaqi was coming from Tripoli on the Libyan ship that was approaching the Malta harbour.

This person maintains that the killers left at about 5am from a flat in Bugibba on a motorcycle. Besides everything points to the fact killers had false Arab passports and spoke Arabic fluently. lt is normal that anyone carrying out such an assignment would use passports of the country that commissioned the killing.

Shqaqi himself, in this instance, was using a false passport. as was the killer and the person who brought the motorcycle into Malta on the 12th August this year. It is not the first time that one or the killers visited Malta and resided in Sliema.

The Maltese police who visited Tripoli paid particular attention to the telephone calls, Amongst the most important call made, was the one wherein Shqaqi gave details of his trip from Libya to Malta, proceeding to Rome on his Way to Damascus.
