As father of Desmond Boomer referred to in the above article I wish to register my complaint at the lack of sensitivity displayed in dealing with the disappearance of my son. As your article makes clear my son has five children and a wife. Regrettably this matter has been raised before and I attach a letter from the Editor of the BelfastTelegraph dated 19 December 2000.

Following contacts from the journalist who wrote the story I believe that the story is a sensationilisation with little factual substance. As the article intrudes into the grief of my family I await your apology.
